Many companies and individuals want you to believe that natural weight loss is difficult to achieve – but it is not. It is just a case of eating the proper foods and having enough regular exercise but most people choose to ignore this advice.

If we all followed that advice it would immediately put all of those specialist diet companies with their high priced foods and the whole industry out of business.Simply Eat But that is not the case even though currently over 35 percent of Americans continue to get larger – and they aren’t the only ones around the world! Of course, once you are overweight, you usually want to trim down for a whole lot of reasons, some related to health, others having to do with looks.

What most people do not realize is keeping at the right weight is much, much easier than losing it. Even though many people know this subconsciously very few actually plan to ensure that weight gain doesn’t happen to them.

Studies have shown that it is more likely a person who has lost weight using a calorie controlled diet, even if they actually enjoyed it, are more likely to go back to their old eating habits at some point. There are many reasons why you should follow a natural weight loss regime and not become overweight, according to experts.

The truth is there is a huge price to pay with your health when you are overweight and in particular, clinically obese. The annoying thing is this isn’t rocket science, mankind hasn’t always been this heavy and we certainly aren’t born that way so it means we need to maintain a natural, healthy weight.

Natural weight loss is about the food you eat so stick to those which are low in fat, contain carbohydrates, high in fiber and a moderate amount of protein. A meal containing this group would be something like a baked potato, vegetables and some meat, lean of course but it would not contain gravy or sour cream.

The problem is calories from dietary fat can be high and have a tendency to be retained by the body which is something that doesn’t happen when excess calories are consumed with other foods. Food manufacturers have been quick to react and have provided a huge range of low or no fat foods but despite this the American people are getting larger, the simple reason for this may surprise you!

While completely false, the perception is that you can basically eat exactly what you want provided it is fat-free but there are still calories in the food which can easily be converted to body fat. Where this goes wrong is with overweight people who think that if it’s fat free they can eat more of it instead of eating a healthy snack.

It is believed in some circles that a natural method of weight loss is to eat less but more often without actually missing meals, which can get you into bad habits. The secret to natural weight loss is easy if you just obey it; do not eat more than your body requires through normal activities and exercise.
